Learning through play is one of the most important ways children learn and develop. Play is an activity where children show their remarkable ability for exploration, imagination and decision making. While play is often described as ‘children’s work’, it is intensely enjoyable for them. Using vibrant markings on the playground can help them develop crucial life skills such as imagination, collaboration, critical thinking, empathy, communication and respect. We recently had the opportunity to work closely with Mount Terry Public School, New South Wales and transform their plain playground into a bright, engaging and active learning space.
