When children play, they are not thinking “Now I am going to learn something from this activity.” Yet their play creates powerful learning opportunities across all areas of development. Development and learning are complex and holistic, and yet skills across all developmental domains can be encouraged through play, including motor, cognitive, and social and emotional skills. We recently had the opportunity to work closely with Resurrection Catholic School, Kings Park VIC, and transforming their plain playground space into a bright, vibrant, and engaging space. The addition of world map, caterpillar, dragon, activity track, number target playground markings is sure to create a lot of play, fun and learning opportunities for their students. End Result = Fantastic Looking Playground!!!
